What do you think of the Snap Preview pop-ups?

Posted by Chris Green on Sunday January 7 @ 10:41 pm

This weekend I added a new feature to this site. Now, whenever you place your pointer over a link on this site that goes to an external page, you will get a small pop-up showing you a small full-colour thumbnail preview of that site before you actually click on the link.
It is a service offered by Snap, and is something I am playing with having seen it running on another blog.

Anyway – keen to get some feedback from readers on whether you find the Snap pop-ups useful or annoying etc, so as to help me decide whether to keep this feature running on here long-term. Please let me know what you think.

Actually think i quite like them. WordPress has just rolled it out across their platform as i seem to have acquired this service on my own blog… Not 100% convinced in the value, but certainly looks pretty neat – and i suppose that’s no bad thing.

ooh, i’m not so sure. but my carefully considered opinion is:

    – i don’t really take into account what a web page looks like before clicking on a link

    – i don’t like things popping up unexpectedly on pages.

But then, I’m a bit of a luddite where this web 2.0 malarkey’s concerned.
