Last chance to sign the anti road charging petition
If, like me, you believe that we already pay enough to use cars in this country, then please consider signing the following e-petition:
http://petitions.pm.gov.uk/traveltax/
The deadline is February 20th. There are over 1.4 million signatures so far, but we need more.

How much would it cost to administer the charge?.there are other ways of raising revenue that are fair eg.fuel duty.It smacks of B/B keeping an even bigger eye on us.

I believe that the british motorist already pays plenty for the “pleasure” of motoring in this country. With road tax & petrol taxation higher than either the USA or South Africa we pay an extortionate amount, little of which I suspect gets paid back into transport improvements. If the Government would invest properly into other transport methods, presenting “joe-driver” with vialbe alternatives then congestion would reduce significantly.
