We got back home around 2.30 today, knackered but in one piece.

Only one item we purchased failed to survive the journey. A new hard case I bought for my iPod was damaged in transit, but all the expensive stuff survived I am pleased to report.

Hello

I have just finished packing for Monday’s trip home. We fly from San Francisco to Los Angeles on Monday lunchtime (US time) Alaska Airlines, then from Los Angeles to Heathrow with British Airways.

Proper posts coming once I am home and free of jetlag, but suffice to say it has been a great trip, we had a nice flight out with BA, and a nice cabin crew for a change. We also had a very good experience with America West/US Airways, which went some way to making up for the terrible experience I had with them flying from Vegas to LA in March.

Next chanllenge is to get to San Fran and find out just how far over our baggage weight limit we are - we have already gained a fifth bag to check in, but we think all five might be overweight - should be fun to sort out at the airport.
