Just finished a Skype chat with Ewan Spence, who is over in Spain at a media conference. Our VoIP call was interrupted by Ewan cracking up, when he spotted this DOS reference on the bottle of Coke we was chugging.

In case you haven’t seen any of the early unboxing or disassembly pics, here’s one of the better pics of Apple’s latest laptop stripped down to its component parts.
As you can see, it’s another example of industrial packaging done well, with the very thin casing of the MacBook Air heavily packed with kit, while the motherboard has been stripped back to the bare minimum.
I’ve just posted a new column over at IT PRO with my views and thoughts on today’s news that Microsoft has offered $44.6 billion in cash and shares for internet portal operator and advertising sales operation Yahoo.
Currently stuck in Portugal, so unable to do my usual commentary stuff for the TV news networks. Rather appalled at some of the dross I’ve been hearing on the UK stations thus far.
